History of Agra Fort






Agra Fort is a historical fort in the city of Agra in India. It was built by the Mughal emperor Akbar in 1565 and served as the main residence of the Mughal emperors until 1638. The fort is made of red sandstone and is surrounded by a high wall. It has several gates, including the Amar Singh Gate, the Delhi Gate, and the Lahore Gate. The fort is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a popular tourist destination.
