History of Hawa Mahal

Hawa Mahal is a palace in Jaipur, Rajasthan, India. Built in 1799, it is made of pink sandstone and has a unique honeycomb-like structure, with 953 small windows or "jharokhas" that allow the breeze to flow through. The palace was built for the women of the royal family, who would observe the city from behind these windows while remaining unseen themselves. Today, Hawa Mahal is a popular tourist attraction and a must-see for anyone visiting Jaipur.
